Work in progress, 3D model of my redesign of the Constitution class heavy cruiser, based on the original, brilliant design by Walter M. Jefferies for the Star Trek TV series.
I approached this re-imagining from the philosophical attitude of practical structural engineering, in much the same way modern naval vessels, such as aircraft carriers, might be constructed.

This particular craft is my re-design of the famous multi-purpose workhorse seen in the series Space:1999 a personal favorite of mine and many others.
