I like the simplistic, hand-drawn look of this segment, and I’ve always wanted to try the “SquiggleVision” technique, and this project gave me the perfect opportunity. This video is drawn and animated in Adobe Flash using my Wacom pen tablet, rendered to Quicktime in HD, exportable to any format.

This portrait drawing was a commission from their wedding photograph, an anniversary present for his wife:

This was an 8″ x 10″ drawn in graphite on archive paper, and will be an heirloom passed down through the family.

Recently I’ve been digging through my old work, a form of self anthropology…

Almost 20 years ago, I painted in acrylic (Ah the days before these fancy computers!) and this was one of them. I always liked the abstract liquid goopiness of this design and always wanted to do it better.

This is my first attempt at a digital do-over:

It’s such a fun design, I’ll likely do variations of it, thanks in a big way to the flexibility that digital media offers.
